When will the store be closed?

What is the forecast for Hawaiʻi Island?

Forecasters expect 8 to 12 inches of rain, with maximum totals near 25 inches possible on the Big Island. Damaging winds, dangerous surf, flash flooding, and mudslides are all possible. Lala is forecast to strengthen into a hurricane as it approaches and to be near the island Saturday. Conditions change quickly, so check current advisories.

How should ranchers and homesteaders prepare?

Secure loose panels, gates, and feed before the wind arrives. Move animals to high ground away from gulches and drainages that flood fast. Check that water troughs and generators are filled and working. Stock feed for several days in case roads close. If you need supplies, come see us before we close.

What if I need supplies before the storm?

We are open our regular hours, Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, until the closure begins. Stop by 16-186 Wiliama St in Keaʻau at Shipman Industrial Park, or call (808) 935-4457 and we will help you sort out what you need. Come early if you can.

Take care of your ʻohana and your animals. We will see you when the weather clears.
