Why is it called Horse Tack?
History of the term “tack” The word “tackle” is used in many instances to mean equipment or gear. Around 1924, the word was shortened to “tack” in order to clarify equipment only for equestrian use. Tack includes all equestrian gear, such as harnesses, bits and bridles, not just saddles.
Little Giant Flat-Back buckets are a favorite on farms and ranches everywhere. The Flat-Back fits more compactly for hanging against a wall or fence, plus it makes hauling heavy loads a lot easier. This one goes a step farther. The heavy-duty metal handle is notched for hanging and rotates on a molded knob rather than in an eyelet, so there is less stress on the bucket rim. The bucket is made from polyethylene resin that is impact resistant, protects against warpage, and helps prevent stress cracks, with stacking ribs so the pails come part easier when stacked.
